Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Organization of the Sierras
PILSOS was formed in 2013 by a group of health care professionals who recognized a need for a community organization to provide support and resources for families who have suffered the loss of a child during the prenatal and neonatal period. Our monthly support group has been going strong in Reno for 13 years and we recently added a Pregnancy After Loss Support Group in Carson City. We will be sponsoring our 16th Annual “A Time For Remembrance” event this year. We also offer Healing Arts Events several times a year. More information on the Events page.
We are proud to announce the addition of a Pregnancy After Loss Support Group. Specifically for those who are navigating a new pregnancy following a loss, this peer-to-peer support group provides a much-needed space to explore the joys and sadness that comes with pregnancy after loss. In addition to providing families with support, we are committed to educating and supporting the health care workers who care for these families in their time of need. We are providing a free hands-on class on the creation of mementos for our healthcare professionals. See the Events page for more information.

The past few years have taught us much on the importance on adaptation to unpredictable, tragic events. We have adapted and bent to the flow of the changing tide. And like the sapling that needs the wind to make it strong, so too do we grow and strengthen by hardship.
Our 16th Annual “A Time For Remembrance” will take place on October 11, 2026 from 1-3pm. Please use the RSVP form on the Events Page. All are welcome to this free event.
