Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Organization of the Sierras
PILSOS was formed in 2013 by a group of health care professionals who recognized a need for a community organization to provide support and resources for families who have suffered the loss of a child during the prenatal and neonatal period. Our monthly support group has been going strong in Reno for 13 years. We will be sponsoring our 16th Annual “A Time For Remembrance” event this year. We also offer Healing Arts Events several times a year. More information on the Events page.
In addition to providing families with support, we are committed to educating and supporting the health care workers who care for these families in their time of need. We are providing a free hands-on class on the creation of mementos for our healthcare professionals. See the Events page for more information.
Please return often for updates and for resources to help families who have lost a child too soon due to miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.

The past few years have taught us much on the importance on adaptation to unpredictable, tragic events. We have adapted and bent to the flow of the changing tide. And like the sapling that needs the wind to make it strong, so too do we grow and strengthen by hardship.
